Lazy Geek’s Cushion

I don’t know how my girlfriend does it, but she does a majority of her computer work in positions I mostly conjugate with images of newborns in a crib or those bed bound in a convalescent home. I might want to get her one of these Lazy Geek’s Cushions, though she’s hardly lazy or a geek.

With 5 adjustable levels, the Lazy Geek’s Cushion actually looks ergonomically beneficial. We’d want to cover it with a more attractive slipcover though, as it has a Wal-Mart aesthetic to it that overshadows its utility.

Does Mike Tyson have this in his home? I’m not sure about that. But this boxing glove stool certainly looks nice in your living room or bedroom. It is cushioned and you can box someone with this only if you can carry it up.

Bright Blind Creates Fake Windows

I think this is a pretty great idea, and if you work in a windowless office you might also. The Bright Blind was created by Makoto Hirahara and it basically recreates the look of a window covered by venetian blinds, but on any wall. The slats on the blinds are made from electroluminescent sheets that produce enough of a glow to recreate the look of diffused light coming from outside.

Like with real blinds, turning the plastic stick will adjust the brightness up and down but unfortunately since the original version was actually created by hand, if you want your own you better have a lot of patience and probably a lot of money.
