Sony Japan has released the Bronze color PSP in Japan which due to hit the Japanese store on the 24th April 2008. The Bronze will be available are a limited quantities of 60,000. It will be priced at $230 which is 40 bucks more expensive than the normal PSP and this Bronze will comes with a 32MB Memory Pro Duo and an AV digital cable.

Western Digital has launched its new My Passport Essential drives codenamed WDME3200TN. This portable drive hard drive is available in 160GB, 250GB and 320GB choices and comes with WD Sync for easy Windows backup and 128-bit encryption. The Western Digital – My Passport Essential portable drive is priced at one cent to $200 for the 320GB.

This is another PMP from China, the RAmos RM970. It offers a standard 3 inch 480 x 272 pixel display and is powered by a 200MHz ARM7 processor and a 200MHz Rockchips DSP processor. The player sports MPEG4, Real and AVI video files and MP3, WAV, WMA, Ogg, FLAC, AAC, APE audio files. You can also capture images with it’s 3MP camera. Impressive!

The Korean company – Cowon – has decided to finally launch the Q5 on the US market. The prices are pretty high, but so is Q5’s quality in terms of design, features, and performance. The portable media player will be released next week, and costs $550 for a 40GB model, or $600 for a bigger one, at 60GB.

As for the technical specifications, here is what the Cowon Q5 provides:

• WiFi and Bluetooth
• 64MB of flash memory, and 128MB of SDRAM
• 5-inch WVGA screen with 800 x 480 resolution
• running WinCE 5.0

Some of the extras include a voice recorder, and being able to view photos, or text.

So it looks like Creative will be continuing to attack Apple on the features front, with Crave UK reporting that the Singaporean manufacturer is poised to release an updated version of its diminutive, Shuffle-esque Zen Stone Plus — packing in a hefty 4GB of flash memory, no less. Besides the capacity bump, the unannounced upgrade is also said to boost battery life to a more respectable 12 hours and add support for unprotected AAC files, clearly a move designed to sway fans of the iTunes Plus DRM-free music selection.
